How to add bold and italic text to your Facebook posts

Date: 13 December 2017

How to add bold and italic text to your Facebook postsUPDATE: Having been excited to find this functionality, sadly it appears the bold and italic text does not work on Android devices. How disappointing

Have you ever wanted to make your text stand out in bold or italic when writing a Facebook post? Do you sometimes just want to grab someone’s attention? We know we have!

Facebook doesn’t let you decide what font, size or style that you can write your posts in. However, we have found a way via Yaytext!

All you have to do is type the text you would like to change into the box shown below:

Facebook, Digital Marketing

You will then be given a few choices of bold and italtic to choose from. There is a ‘copy’ button to the left.

Facebook, Digital Marketing

You then simply post into your Facebook post. Voila!

Don’t go overboard – but do try it out on your social posts to help key points stand out!

(PS – This also works on mobile via iphone – but there may be hiccups with Android devices!)

    4. When you say that it doesn’t work on Android devices, do you mean that we can’t post bold/italic text on those devices? or do you mean that if put bold/italic text in our posts, it won’t show up properly on Android devices?

      • Hi Scott, Sorry for the late reply! You can post on an Android device, however the bold/italic text won’t appear properly and will be replaced by symbols. Hope this helps.

    14. First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like
to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center
yourself and clear your mind before writing. I’ve had
difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure
out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Appreciate it!
